“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.” Inspired by the above quote of Ronald Reagan, the Interact Club of Marians organised a charity drive; “JOY OF GIVING” in the school campus on December 9th, 2022.
“JOY OF GIVING” was officially launched by our Principal Mrs. Asha Sunil and Finance Head Mr. Kurien. Charity was made in the form of kind as the students of each section were informed to bring a variety of different things such as stationary items, soaps, grains and dals, sanitary items etc.
The items collected in the drive will be segregated and distributed among three needy shelters:
Shishu Bhavan – An orphanage for children.
Asha Deep – Home for girls.
Gnana Jyothi Trust for the disabled and blind children.
Additionally we are also contributing Rs. 10000 to Gnana Jyothi Trust which will be utilised in printing books in Braille for the blind kids. The charity drive as a whole brought about great content and satisfaction among all those who were a part of it and indeed the ‘joy’ of giving was evident when the students came forward to share smiles and happiness.
