Life Skills and Value Education is a part of the curriculum. It is the ability for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. It provides an opportunity for the students to question, explore and assess situations, form their own values and make decisions for the present and future.
It is our endeavor to help our students develop their self-esteem by honing their study skills and strengthening their ability to cope with stress, improving their communication skills and in developing assertiveness which is important for leading a successful life.
St. Mary’s Public School is having two units namely St.Mary’s Scout Troop and St.Mary’s Guides which has been registered in The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka, State Headquarters, ShanthiGruha, Bangalore. Being part of Scouts and Guides helps our students in inculcating discipline and self-independence. We have Scouts and Guides in our school operating successfully. The Scout troop is headed by Mr. Devendra ,the Guides Company is led by Mrs.Padmavathi,and the Bulbuls is headed by Mrs.Rajamma.
40 scouts , 28 Guides ,and 36 Bulbuls are enrolled for the year 2018-19 From our School 4 scouts got TritiyaSopan Award in the month of April 2018 and 2 Scouts took part in Rajyapuraskar Testing Camp held in the month of May 2018. All the Scouts qualified in the exam.
Our Scouts and Guides are actively taking part in the all the activities organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka.
