Reports for children’s day 2022-23
“ Children are the world’s most valuable resources and its best hope for the future”
Children’s day programme of St. Mary’s public school for the year 2022-23 was held on 14th November 2022.
The day began with an entertainment programme by the teachers. The teachers enthralled the students with choreographies, song and skit. Mrs. Iqbalunnisa, emphasized on the importance and privilege enjoyed by the students which many children around the world are deprived of with no means of even the basic necessities of life.
Various competitions were held for the students: Competitions for hand writing, Magazine Cover Page design, Solo Singing and Fancy Dress were held.
House wise group competitions were conducted as well. Collage making by senior boys highlighted the theme `child abuse’ and the plight of children across the world. Senior girls created useful and creative items from waste to promote recyclability and environmental responsibility.
The boys of grade 5,6 &7 did an excellent work on cooking without fire. The dishes were tasty and they presented it in an appealing manner. The girls of grade 5,6 &7 demonstrated their skills in grooming themselves with hair do and makeup. In short, SMPS children’s day 2022-23 was an enthralling and exquisite, fun filled experience for our young Marians which also instilled in them a sense of commitment and social responsibility to promote good mental health for their peer group facing various challenges in the world.
