The Words Worth essay writing competition was organised by The Times of India – Times NIE in partnership with Manipal Hospitals on November 7, 2023, at Tunbridge High School in Bengaluru. The competition aimed to encourage and inspire young writers in STD VII and VIII to express their thoughts and ideas through writing. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across schools in the region, including three talented students from St. Mary’s Public School.
The competition provided students with a platform to showcase their writing skills, creativity, and originality while challenging them to think critically and communicate effectively. The students were given thought-provoking topics to write on, and their essays were judged on various parameters, including relevance, clarity, coherence, and grammar. The event allowed young minds to engage in creative expression and hone their writing skills.
