St. Mary’s Public School conducted the handing over ceremony on 31st January, 2024 as the young leaders handed over their responsibilities to their successors. These young leaders in the academic year, 2023-24 had set their foot forward and pledged to shoulder their responsibility in maintaining the discipline and upholding the dignity of the institution and now it was time that they transfer their responsibilities on their juniors’ shoulders.
The ceremony began by seeking the blessings of the divine grace of Almighty in our midst as we had the choir of SMPS who presented us a song: “There shall be showers of blessings”.
Before the leaders handed over their responsibilities, we all sang the School Anthem with utmost dedication and devotion to our school.
To begin the ceremonious handing over of the flag, we had our principal, Mrs. Ranjusha M and Vice Principal, Mrs. Vanitha Jacob Deepak to receive the flags from the outgoing school head girl Eman Yousuff and school head boy Syed Shaheer Ahmed.
The outgoing sports captain Idris Bokhari and Madiha Khanum handed over the sports flag to our PT instructor M Devendra.
St. Gregorious house captain Lakshmi Biswas handed over the flag to house incharge teacher Sarvamangala.
# Mrs. Baby Cherian ma’am received the flag from St Peter’s Captain Zunairah Ashraf Syed and Devasmitha T.
St Mary’s House captain Ayeera Fathima Khanum and prefect Afshad Ur Rehman marched up to hand over the flag to their House Incharge teacher Mrs Iqbal Unisa ma’am.
Mrs Noor Ayesha received the flag from St.Thomas captain Aditi Anand and Monesh s .
Appreciation is the highest form of prayer for it acknowledges the presence of goodness wherever you shine the light of your thankful thoughts and on this note the leaders were appreciated for their duties and responsibilities.
The outgoing head girl Eman Yousuff and head boy Syed Shaheer Ahmed shared their experiences as leaders of the school.
The Principal Mrs. Ranjusha M addressed the Leaders and the gathering.
The Principal, Vice Principal and Kurien Sir blessed the students with the blessing cards.
The vote of thanks was given by a class X student, Afshad Ur Rehman.
We concluded the programme with the National Anthem.
