Grandparents Day is a day remembering the bond between the young and the old. This was a great day for children to show their love and appreciation for their grandparents. Pre-Primary organized Grandparents Day on the 19th of December. Many of our Grandparents had graced this occasion.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp by our Honourable Guest Dr. Adithya V Madhavi who is an alumnus of our school along with Principal Ranjusha, Vice Principal Vanitha Jacob Deepak, Finance Head Kurien Abraham, Head Mistress Urmila Bali, Academic Head Sharmila Anilesh and Pre-Primary Coordinator Rajamma.
After the symbolic moment, the program continued with prayer and Bible reading. The Academic Head Sharmila Anilesh welcomed the gathering and Head mistress Urmila Bali introduced our esteemed Chief guest. Principal, Vice principal, Finance Head along with other dignitaries facilitated our Chief Guest. It was a proud moment for Marians as the chief guest he being our school Alumni, he had addressed the gathering briefing about his experiences.
Grandparents were delighted to watch the most awaited performance of their grandchildren. Students of the middle school choir presented a string of Carol songs.
Prep-1 students performed for the welcome song. Nostalgic movements was when Prep-2 danced for Retro beats. Our Principal addressed the gathering by appreciating the grandparents and their role they are playing in the kids lives. Primary students were delighted to perform an Hindi action song and finally the Pre-Kg students had danced for Christmas songs.
Enthusiastic grandparents participated in a fun game called “head, shoulder, knees and toes. The winners were awarded with the prizes. A lucky draw was conducted and the chief guest distributed the gifts. Finally our vice principal proposed the vote of thanks.
Grandparents day was memorable for the grandparents, who left with pleasant memories, loads of appreciation and heaps of blessings to the teachers, school and management.
