The students of STD V visited the University of Agricultural Science Bakery at GKVK Campus and Museum on 19 December 2023. They learned about the production methods of cakes, cookies, and biscuits. They were given a live demonstration of mixing and baking cherry and coconut cookies, which gave them a practical understanding of the science behind baking.
The museum showcased the advancements in science and technology in farming and agriculture. It included historical tools used for farming, the history of sericulture, horticulture, beekeeping, and millet farming. The working models of solar energy and wind energy being used for generating electricity provided the students with a deeper understanding of the trends and advancements in agriculture and village life in the present year. The visit was a memorable experience for the students, which broadened their knowledge and understanding of the food and farming industry.
