The children’s day celebration was held in St. Mary’s Public school, main campus on 18th November, 2023.
The program began with a short introduction on the emphasis of children’s day that it’s a day to honour the future that unfolds before us,with every joyous laughter echoing in the corridors of our schools and homes and that Children’s Day or Bal Diwas is celebrated across India on November 14 to honor India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru every year.
This was followed by the prayer by Mrs. Joycy. We had the bible reading by Mrs. Marriam Mammen. A Prayer song was sung by Ms. Blessy.
Following this was the vice Principal, Mrs Vanitha Jacob Deepak’s welcome speech which left everyone present feel very acknowledged and loved. She motivated us and the students selflessly.
Next we had a Thiruvonam dance by our primary teachers.
This was followed by a classical duo by one of our high school teachers and a student. The Classical and bollywood music converge , presented was amusing.
Then we had a group song by the teachers.
Next we had a dance presented by middle school teachers.
Fashion is more art than art is.” We then had a splendid fashion show by all the teachers.
This was followed by a fusion dance a type of contemporary social improvised partner dance that combined different dance styles to create a new aesthetic by the high school teachers.
The teachers had tried to amuse the children for a little while on their day. Next our Principal ma’am addressed the gathering with a motivational speech which encouraged the students to be better pupils, competitors and persons.
Next we had our school head girl, Eman Yousuff to deliver the vote of thanks.
The program ended with the NATIONAL ANTHEM.
