St. Mary’s Public School proudly hosted the Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club Office Bearers for the academic year 2026–2027 on 9th July 2026. The event marked the dawn of a new leadership journey, inspiring young Interactors to embrace the values of service, integrity, and compassion while pledging to “Create Lasting Impact.”
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Rtn. Mohan Velan C., President, Rotary Bangalore North, and the Guest of Honour, Rtn. Commander Joy Panakkal, Past President of Rotary Bangalore North and Former Correspondent of St. Mary’s Public School. The school was also honoured by the presence of Rtn. Manju Anand, Youth Service Director, Rotary Bangalore North; Rtn. Balaji S.Y., Advisor – Youth Service, Rotary Bangalore North, along with the respected Principal, Dr. Ranjusha M., Vice Principal Mrs. Sahera Ara Begum, teachers, parents, and students.
The programme commenced with an enlightening orientation session by Rtn. Balaji S.Y., who introduced the vision and purpose of the Interact Club and encouraged students to uphold the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.” The ceremony then continued with a solemn prayer, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and hope. A Bible Reading invoked God’s blessings upon the newly elected leadership team.
Welcoming the gathering, Ms. Anchal Kumari, Coordinator of the Interact Club, emphasized the significance of leadership through service and encouraged the young Interactors to become responsible and compassionate citizens. The outgoing President was ceremonially collared by the outgoing Secretary, marking the successful completion of an impactful tenure. Itr. Kehkashan, the Immediate Past President, then presented the Annual Report for 2025–2026, highlighting the club’s remarkable achievements in community service, environmental awareness, youth development, and humanitarian initiatives. A melodious choir performance by the students of Class VIII added grace and serenity to the occasion.
The highlight of the ceremony was the installation of Itr. Syeda Rida as the President of the Interact Club for the year 2026–2027 by Rtn. Mohan Velan C. Following the Oath of Office, she delivered an inspiring acceptance speech, promising to lead with dedication under the theme “Create Lasting Impact.” The newly elected office bearers were installed by Rtn. Manju Anand and Rtn. Mohan Velan C., after which Ms. Anchal Kumari administered the oath of office. The induction of new Interact members by Rtn. Commander Joy Panakkal and other Rotary members formally welcomed them into the global family of Interactors.
The gathering was further inspired by the insightful addresses delivered by Rtn. Manju Anand, PP Rtn. Commander Joy Panakkal, Chief Guest Rtn. Mohan Velan C., and Principal Dr. Ranjusha M., who encouraged the students to lead with courage, serve with humility, and become catalysts for positive change in society.
The official installation meeting was formally adjourned by the newly installed President, Itr. Syeda Rida. The celebrations continued with a powerful social awareness skit titled “Set Me Free”, presented by the students of Class X, which conveyed a strong message on social responsibility and personal freedom. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, followed by Vande Mataram and the Indian National Anthem.
The Installation Ceremony was more than a formal investiture of office bearers—it was a celebration of leadership, unity, and service. It ignited a renewed sense of purpose among every Interactor, reaffirming the club’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the community and living up to its inspiring theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”
