We Itrs. Noor Aiman Rabbani and Rohan Kanthraj are glad to share that apart from being a part of an incredible team of the DI 3190 we will also be participating in the first ever virtual YEP being organised by the DI 3190.
Youth Exchange Programme as the name suggests, means exchange of students with foreign countries.
Every year, a few students from India would visit another country and the same number of students would visit our homeland and stay with their respective host families. During that period, the exchange students would learn about the vast and diverse culture of the new country they were staying in. But as we are aware of the limitations, we have due to Covid, Rotary International has decided to conduct all Youth Exchange Programmes online this year.
Nevertheless, with great zeal and enthusiasm; our district 3190 has come forward to conduct the first ever virtual Youth Exchange Programme with the students of Nebraska, USA. We hope to have fruitful sessions with them on every Saturday from Jan 8th to Feb 26th.
Since experience is a vital part of everything that we do, DI 3190 has collaborated with DI 3131, which is a Nagpur based District in their international RYLA with countries such as Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Thailand, Brazil etc. wherein we will be delivering three sessions on South Indian culture. We wish to do our best and learn all the tips and knowledge to excel and make our very own programme a remarkable success.
Undoubtedly, this is indeed an exciting and challenging task! Opportunities such as these are exceedingly rare but to get to be a part of not one but two huge international programmes make us overwhelmed and get enveloped in gratitude. We promise to do our best and invest our full commitment and dedication without letting anyone down.
