World Humanitarian Day Celebration

2024 – 25

On August 19, 2024, the students of, St. Mary’s Public school celebrated World Humanitarian Day with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of humanitarian work and expressing gratitude to healthcare workers. The event began with children creating placards with powerful slogans, such as “Compassion in Action,” “Healing Hands,” and “Humanity Matters.”

Students then delivered heartfelt speeches on the microphone, highlighting the significance of humanitarian work and the impact of healthcare workers. Their words inspired and motivated the passersby to take action and make a difference. Following the speeches, we had the chanting of slogans. Students made thank you cards for the doctors and nurses of Shifa Hospital, expressing their appreciation for their selfless service.

The group then took photos with the placards, showcasing their support for humanitarian causes. With placards in hand, the students, teachers, and staff walked to Shifa Hospital, chanting “Humanity in Action Today, Tomorrow, and Always.” This energetic and passionate display of support drew attention from passersby, further amplifying the message of the day.

Upon arrival at Shifa Hospital, the students delivered the thank you cards to the doctors and nurses, thanking them for their dedication and hard work. The healthcare workers were visibly moved by the thoughtful gesture, and the students were inspired by their selflessness. The event successfully raised awareness about the importance of humanitarian work and demonstrated appreciation for the tireless efforts of healthcare workers.

The celebration concluded with a sense of accomplishment and a renewed commitment to humanitarian values. As one student speaker noted, “Humanitarian work is not just about helping others, it’s about being human.” The event served as a reminder that even small actions can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
