World Food Day was celebrated by the Primary section on 30th October under the theme ‘’Hand in Hand for a Better Foods and a Better Future,” emphasizing the power of global cooperation and right of every person to have access to sufficient and nutritious food. This event aimed at raising awareness and encouraging action to achieve zero hunger and sustainable food systems.
Thus, the students of class III, IV and V were given an opportunity to celebrate this day. Parents of most students were glad to prepare and send variety of food items. It was a collaborative activity between the students and parents. Students were excited to arrange their class rooms neatly in an organized manner with variety of food items.
Our Principal along with Vice-principal, Academic Head, Coordinators and teachers inaugurated the Food Fest. A warm welcome speech was addressed by Mohammed Ibaad of Std IV B, after which the team visited all the classes and enjoyed the delicious, healthy and nutritious food. This year we planned to have a starter, salads, breakfast, lunch, sweets and desserts of different states for the food fest which was shared by all the classes. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rakshitha of IV A.
It was a fantastic learning experience, where students got an opportunity to work in groups and understand the importance of teamwork and cooperation. This event not only encouraged creativity and healthy food habits but also built confidence and collaboration among students. Principal appreciated the teachers and students for their effort and hard work for making this event a great success.
