As part of the Onam celebrations, St. Mary’s Public School conducted its annual Pookolam Competition on 29th September 2025 in the school basement. The event was a vibrant expression of Kerala’s rich culture and tradition, encouraging students to come together in a celebration of colour, creativity, and teamwork.
In each division, the four house teams—Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow—competed by designing beautiful Pookolams using fresh flower petals. Every team brought its own unique flair to the designs, blending traditional motifs with modern interpretations. The basement was transformed into a colourful and fragrant showcase of talent and dedication.
All teams displayed impressive coordination, attention to detail, and house spirit. The Pookolam competition was not just a display of flowers—it was a celebration of unity, creativity, and culture. It served as a wonderful opportunity for students to embrace tradition while expressing their artistic abilities and working as a team. The enthusiasm, hard work, and passion shown by every participant made this event a truly memorable part of this year’s Onam celebrations.
