The Interact Club successfully organised the Joy of Giving Charity Drive with the aim of spreading kindness, empathy, and social responsibility among students. As part of the drive, groceries and stationery items were collected from students ranging from Preparatory to Grade 9. In addition, Grade X students and staff members contribution which was used to purchase sweaters and woolen caps for underprivileged children and kids of convicts, supported by Socare Ind.
On 15th December, Interactors along with their teachers visited Little Sisters of the Poor at Richmond Road. The place was found to be well maintained and welcoming. During the visit, students interacted warmly with the residents, sang Christmas carols, distributed cakes, and spent quality time learning the importance of compassion and service.
On 16th December, the Interactors visited Socare Ind. at Laggere, a home that takes care of 110 students, providing them with education and basic necessities. The Interact Club distributed stationery items and sweaters to the children. The visit was deeply impactful and offered students meaningful insights into the lives of others and the value of helping those in need.
Overall, the Joy of Giving , Charity Drive was a fulfilling and enriching experience. It not only brought smiles to many faces but also instilled a strong sense of gratitude, empathy, and social awareness among the Interactors, making it a truly memorable learning experience.
