The Installation-cum-Orientation Ceremony of the Interact Club Office Bearers of St. Mary’s Public School for the academic year 2025-26 was held with great enthusiasm on 13th June 2025 in the school auditorium. The program commenced on a solemn note with a prayer by Asfa of Grade IX, invoking blessings for a successful term ahead. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and service. Ms. Anchal Kumari, the Interact Club in-charge teacher, welcomed the gathering with a warm and inspiring welcome address, setting the tone for the event. This was followed by a presentation of the annual report for the year 2024-25 by Ltr. Niharika, highlighting the various impactful initiatives and community service activities carried out by the club.
Rtn. Balaji S.Y., Past President and Trainer, addressed the students with an engaging PowerPoint presentation, introducing the ideals, objectives, and global impact of the Interact Club. His insightful session motivated students to take up leadership and service with dedication. The ceremony proceeded with the pinning of badges to the newly elected office bearers by the esteemed dignitaries, marking the formal investiture. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony, where the new members pledged their commitment to the Interact Club’s motto – Service Above Self.
The newly elected president, Ltr. Kehkashan, delivered a confident and heartfelt acceptance speech, expressing gratitude and a strong vision for the club’s future. The Chief Guest, Rtn. Joy Pannakkal, along with other distinguished Rotarians – Rtn. Velmurugan Ekambaram (Chairman, GST), Rtn. Balaji S.Y (Past President and Trainer), Rtn. Manju Anand (Director, Youth Service), and Rtn. Y.M. Basavaraju (Director Youth Service Elect, 2025-26) – addressed the gathering. They emphasized the importance of youth engagement in community development and leadership.
A creative and thought-provoking skit on Filial Piety was presented by students of Grade VIII, leaving the audience inspired with its meaningful message. The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks delivered by Syeda Maryam of Grade IX, followed by the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable and meaningful ceremony. The Installation-cum-Orientation ceremony was a resounding success, reflecting the spirit of unity, leadership, and service that the Interact Club of St. Mary’s Public School stands for.
