Child Labour

2025 - 26

On 12th June 2025, the students of Grade 10 ‘B’ conducted the morning assembly at St. Mary’s Public School on the theme ‘Child Labour’, marking World Day Against Child Labour.

The assembly commenced with a soulful prayer led by Disha S, seeking blessings for the day. This was followed by an inspiring Bible reading by Greg Emmanuel, and then the news headlines were presented by Ammaara Khanum, updating the school with current events happening around the world.

To emphasize the importance and urgency of the day’s theme, the students staged an enlightening skit, effectively portraying the harsh realities of child labour.

A talk on child labour was delivered by Afraz Nawaz Khan, who spoke with conviction, shedding light on its causes and consequences. Our respected Principal then addressed the gathering, urging everyone to be more aware and compassionate toward the issue.

A warm vote of thanks was delivered by Alvyn Varghese Mathew.
