St. Mary’s Public School celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotism on 26th January 2025. The event was attended by students, teachers, and staff members of the school.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by the Principal and Vice Principal of the school. As the flag was unfurled, everyone present sang the National Anthem with great fervor and respect. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, sweets were distributed to all students and teachers, adding a sweet touch to the celebration.

However, prior to this celebration, on January 24th, the school had also organized a series of events to commemorate the significance of India’s Republic Day. The celebrations included a special assembly conducted by the students of Class VII, a thoughtful speech by Mrs. Padmavati, a soul-stirring song performance by the choir group, and a prize distribution ceremony to honor the outstanding achievements of the students.

The special assembly began with a warm welcome note by the students of Class VII, who showcased their discipline and enthusiasm throughout the program. The assembly included informative segments on the history and importance of Republic Day, reminding everyone of the day when the Indian Constitution came into effect in 1950.

Mrs. Padmavati,Kannada teacher, delivered a heartfelt speech, emphasizing the importance of Republic Day in uniting the nation and instilling a sense of pride and responsibility in every citizen. Her words inspired students to value the rights and duties granted to them by the Indian Constitution and encouraged them to contribute positively to the country’s growth and progress.

The atmosphere was further elevated by the beautiful performance of the school choir group, who rendered patriotic songs that filled the air with pride and emotion. The melodies of the songs captured the essence of unity, love for the nation, and the sacrifices made by countless individuals to secure the freedom and democracy that India enjoys today.

The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where students who had excelled in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities were honored for their hard work and dedication. The ceremony was a moment of recognition and encouragement, motivating others to strive for excellence.
