The Children’s Day celebration at St. Mary’s Public school was a vibrant and joyous event that brought together students, teachers, and staff to honor the importance of childhood and the role of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, in promoting children’s welfare.
The program commenced with a solemn prayer by Mrs. Rashmi, followed by a Bible reading. The Emcees Mrs. Pinky Roy and Ms. Anchal warmly welcomed the audience and set the tone for the festivities.
The primary school teachers, presented a melodious prayer song that filled the atmosphere with devotion and gratitude. This was followed by an energetic dance performance by the middle school teachers showcased their talent and enthusiasm.
Senior School Coordinator, Ms. Mariam Mammen, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of Children’s Day, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and supporting the younger generation. Her words were thought-provoking and resonated with the audience.
The cultural program continued with a soulful song by HOD Kannada, Mrs. Gayathri Devi, and a lively dance performance by the primary school teachers. The middle and high school students also presented a harmonious song, which showcased their musical talents.
One of the highlights of the event was a stunning dance performance by Mrs. Noor Ayesha, Ms. Arshiya, and Mrs. Pinky Roy, which left the audience mesmerized. The singing performance by Ms. Harshitha, and Ms. Blessy from Furtado’s school of Music was also a treat to the ears, with their beautiful voices blending in perfect harmony.
The Principal addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of providing a nurturing environment for children to grow and develop. The students were encouraged to make the most of the opportunities available to them and to strive for excellence.
Head Girl, Mehrish Sana, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the teachers, staff, and students who contributed to the success of the event.
