The Interact Club Installation Ceremony was held on 5th July 2024 at St. Mary’s Public School was a resounding success, marked by a series of inspiring speeches and events.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer led by Stephy P V of Grade IX, setting a reflective tone for the proceedings.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, accompanied by a melodious song performed by Mrs. Gayathri Devi, added a touch of grace and auspiciousness to the event.
Ms. Iqbalunnisa, Coordinator of Interact Activities, introduced the chief guest Rtn. Comdr. Joy Panakkal, Past President of Rotary Bangalore North and extended a warm welcome to the gathering, emphasizing the club’s commitment to service and leadership.
Former President Itr. Mehrish Sana presented a comprehensive report highlighting the achievements and initiatives of the Interact Club during the academic year 2023-2024.
This was followed by a symbolic pinning of badges by Rotarians from Bangalore North, District 3192, symbolizing the transfer of responsibilities and leadership.

The highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking by the newly elected Interact Team for 2024-2025, led by President Niharika. Her acceptance speech resonated with determination and vision, outlining the various out reach programmes the club plans to take up.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed Rotarians: Rtn. Girish Yavagal, President of Rotary Bangalore North, Rtn. Manju Anand, Youth Service Director, Rtn. Balaji, Treasurer of the club, Rtn. Chandra Shekhar, Rtn. Basvaraju and the school leadership. Their address provided insightful encouragement to the young leaders to excel in their roles and contribute meaningfully to society.
Another highlight of the day appreciated by all was the amazing choreography presented by girls of class 7,8 and 9 that conveyed the pain, the struggle, and ultimately, the hope for a brighter future on the social cause ‘Stop Child Abuse”.
Rhyda M of Grade IX, concluded the event with a gracious vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and supporters for their contributions to the success of the ceremony.
The programme concluded with a rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride.
