International Yoga Day is observed annually on June 21st, to raise awareness about the ancient practice of yoga and its benefits for physical and mental well-being. Our school celebrated the international Yoga day with utmost zeal and enthusiasm.
This year’s celebration was marked by various performances by the students.
The program started with a prayer led by a student of Std IX of which was followed by the Bible reading and the welcome speech. The students delivered numerous news from across the world. This was followed by a performance showcasing immense talent in our children from the lower classes. They displayed different asanas of yoga to inspire the audience to cultivate the habit of exercise for a healthy and happy body. Another set of students performed other poses of yoga to motivate everyone around.
A PowerPoint presentation on the importance of yoga was presented by Mrs. Sarita P, the Physical Education Teacher emphasizing the benefits of Yoga. This was followed by the Principal’s speech, who addressed the gathering by motivating them to cultivate healthy habits and inculcate an exercise routine in life. Finally, we had the vote of thanks by our student. The end of the program was marked by the national anthem
