Green Day Celebration

The Pre-Primary Section celebrated Green Day on 30th July 2026 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The classroom was beautifully decorated with green-themed decorations, creating a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere for the little ones.

The children came dressed in green attire and participated enthusiastically in various activities related to the colour green.

As part of the celebration, children brought homemade healthy green food items and enjoyed sharing and learning about them. Activities such as Q- tip painting colouring, finger printing were conducted to make the day enjoyable and meaningful.

The celebration helped children recognise the colour green and understand its connection with nature, plants, and healthy food. It also encouraged healthy eating habits, creativity, participation, and learning through fun.

The Green Day celebration was a joyful and enriching experience for all the children, leaving them with happy memories and a better understanding of the colour.

Interact Club Installation Ceremony 2026–2027

St. Mary’s Public School proudly hosted the Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club Office Bearers for the academic year 2026–2027 on 9th July 2026. The event marked the dawn of a new leadership journey, inspiring young Interactors to embrace the values of service, integrity, and compassion while pledging to “Create Lasting Impact.”

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Rtn. Mohan Velan C., President, Rotary Bangalore North, and the Guest of Honour, Rtn. Commander Joy Panakkal, Past President of Rotary Bangalore North and Former Correspondent of St. Mary’s Public School. The school was also honoured by the presence of Rtn. Manju Anand, Youth Service Director, Rotary Bangalore North; Rtn. Balaji S.Y., Advisor – Youth Service, Rotary Bangalore North, along with the respected Principal, Dr. Ranjusha M., Vice Principal Mrs. Sahera Ara Begum, teachers, parents, and students.

The programme commenced with an enlightening orientation session by Rtn. Balaji S.Y., who introduced the vision and purpose of the Interact Club and encouraged students to uphold the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.” The ceremony then continued with a solemn prayer, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and hope. A Bible Reading invoked God’s blessings upon the newly elected leadership team.

Welcoming the gathering, Ms. Anchal Kumari, Coordinator of the Interact Club, emphasized the significance of leadership through service and encouraged the young Interactors to become responsible and compassionate citizens. The outgoing President was ceremonially collared by the outgoing Secretary, marking the successful completion of an impactful tenure. Itr. Kehkashan, the Immediate Past President, then presented the Annual Report for 2025–2026, highlighting the club’s remarkable achievements in community service, environmental awareness, youth development, and humanitarian initiatives. A melodious choir performance by the students of Class VIII added grace and serenity to the occasion.

The highlight of the ceremony was the installation of Itr. Syeda Rida as the President of the Interact Club for the year 2026–2027 by Rtn. Mohan Velan C. Following the Oath of Office, she delivered an inspiring acceptance speech, promising to lead with dedication under the theme “Create Lasting Impact.” The newly elected office bearers were installed by Rtn. Manju Anand and Rtn. Mohan Velan C., after which Ms. Anchal Kumari administered the oath of office. The induction of new Interact members by Rtn. Commander Joy Panakkal and other Rotary members formally welcomed them into the global family of Interactors.

The gathering was further inspired by the insightful addresses delivered by Rtn. Manju Anand, PP Rtn. Commander Joy Panakkal, Chief Guest Rtn. Mohan Velan C., and Principal Dr. Ranjusha M., who encouraged the students to lead with courage, serve with humility, and become catalysts for positive change in society.

The official installation meeting was formally adjourned by the newly installed President, Itr. Syeda Rida. The celebrations continued with a powerful social awareness skit titled “Set Me Free”, presented by the students of Class X, which conveyed a strong message on social responsibility and personal freedom. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, followed by Vande Mataram and the Indian National Anthem.

The Installation Ceremony was more than a formal investiture of office bearers—it was a celebration of leadership, unity, and service. It ignited a renewed sense of purpose among every Interactor, reaffirming the club’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the community and living up to its inspiring theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”

The highlight of the assembly was a thought-provoking skit that beautifully conveyed the importance of punctuality and its role in building discipline, responsibility, and success. The students also presented the news, covering national, international, sports, and school events with confidence and clarity.

The assembly concluded with a motivating message encouraging everyone to value time and make punctuality a part of their daily lives. The programme came to a close with the singing of Vande Mataram, followed by the National Anthem.

The theme was reinforced through meaningful messages and reflections that encouraged students to be responsible and well-behaved individuals. The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem. The program was conducted smoothly, and the students actively participated, making the assembly informative, engaging, and effective in conveying the importance of discipline.

George Hess Literary Competition

The Father George Hess Memorial Literary Competition 2026 was held on 25th June 2026 at Avishkar Academy, Halasuru, Bangalore. It was a zonal-level competition featuring seven events: Creative Writing, Painting, Poem Writing, Declamation, Quiz Competition, Story Writing, and Debate Competition.

A total of 11 students from St Mary’s Public School participated enthusiastically in the competition and showcased their literary and creative talents. The students were escorted to the venue by Ms. Wane, who guided and supported them throughout the event.

The school achieved commendable success, with students securing prizes in five events. The winners were: Syeda Sarah Seenen -X A (Winner – Declamation, Junior), Aiza Sabir – X A and Syeda Rida – IX A (Winners – Debate, Junior), Aiman Zoha – XA (Winner – Poem Writing, Junior), and Rasha M -VIII A (Winner – Painting, Sub Junior). These students are the participants for the upcoming regional level who will be representing St Mary’s Public School. Their achievements brought pride to the school and reflected their hard work, dedication, and the encouragement and support of their teachers.
