Robotics and AI Exhibition

Our school proudly organized its first Robotics and AI Exhibition on 13th February 2026. A huge dummy robot welcomed the guests at the entrance, creating excitement and curiosity. Students presented innovative projects using kits like Tinker Orbit, Discovery Motion Kit, Smart Circuit, Bitli Kit, Arduino Starter Kit, and Mechatron Kit.

The exhibits included the Automatic street light using ir sensors ,water level indicator using ultrasonic sensor,Smart Dustbin using ultrasonic sensor,weather station using DHT 11sensor, 4 way traffic controller using arduino uno, Waving Robot, Swing Model, Mechanical Linkages, Cubot, Micro-bit projects. Students also designed interactive games using ScratchJr, demonstrating their basic coding and logical thinking skills.

The walls were decorated with various informative charts on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, explaining concepts such as sensors, automation, machine learning, types of robots, and real-life applications. Students confidently explained their projects, and parents appreciated their creativity and technical knowledge.

The exhibition was guided by STEMRobo Engineer Mr. Manjunath and Mr Sanjay along with the dedicated support of the Computer faculty . Their guidance played a vital role in the smooth organization and success of the exhibition.

Overall, the Robotics and AI Exhibition was a great learning experience. It inspired students to think innovatively, develop problem-solving skills, and explore future opportunities in the field of technology. The event marked a proud beginning for many more such exhibitions in the future.

Art and Science Exhibition 2025-26

The Science and Art Exhibition was held on 13.02.2026 at St.Mary’s Public School. It was organized to showcase the creativity, talent, and scientific knowledge of students from Grade III to Grade X. The event aimed to promote learning through hands-on activities, experiments, and artistic projects.

Students demonstrated simple yet fascinating experiments such as volcano eruptions, plant growth studies, and water filtration models.

Artworks: Creative paintings, sculptures, and craftworks made using different materials.
Innovative Projects: Some students designed renewable energy models and eco-friendly inventions.
The creativity displayed by students was impressive, especially in their artistic projects.
The scientific explanations provided by students showed a good understanding of concepts.
Parents enjoyed interactive demonstrations and asked many questions, indicating high engagement.

Movie Time

A special movie show was organised in our school on 11^th February 2026 for the students of Classes III to VIII. The movie screened was Tanuja, an inspiring film that highlights the importance of education and determination in a young girl’s life. Teachers ensured that students were seated properly and maintained discipline throughout the show.

The film beautifully portrayed the struggles faced by a young girl who dreams of continuing her education despite financial and social challenges. The story conveyed a strong message about courage, hope, and the value of learning. The students watched the movie with great interest and were deeply moved by its meaningful message.

After the screening, a short discussion was held in the classrooms where students shared their views and the lessons they learned from the film. Many students expressed that the movie motivated them to work hard and never give up on their dreams.

It was an enriching and memorable experience for all. Such programmes help students learn important life values in an engaging and enjoyable way.

Republic Day

The Republic Day celebration was held with great pride and enthusiasm in the school assembly on 27th January. The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag a day before. The program began by a group dance and ended with the singing of the National Anthem. The assembly was beautifully decorated with tricolors, creating a patriotic atmosphere.

The principal presented a questionnaire highlighting the importance of the Indian Constitution and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The principal addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of Republic Day, encouraging students to be responsible and disciplined citizens of the nation.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks. The celebration was inspiring and memorable, leaving everyone with a strong sense of patriotism and pride in being Indian.

35th Graduation Ceremony 2025-2026

St. Mary’s Public School (SMPS) celebrated its landmark 35th Graduation Day on January 24^th, 2026, honoring the Batch of 2026. The ceremony was a poignant blend of nostalgia and ambition. The event was graced by the board of management, faculty, proud parents, and the distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. P.C. Mathew, Founder Principal of the UIM Family Research Training Institute.

Key Highlights of the Ceremony

Spiritual Foundation: In keeping with the school’s inclusive ethos, the morning began with a solemn prayer by
Very Rev. Fr. Mathai Rambachen, followed by multi-faith scripture readings from the Holy Bible by Divya Rani, the Bhagavat Geeta by Shwetha N., and the Holy Quran by Nassem.
Symbolic Traditions: The ceremonial “Lighting of the Lamp” served as a visual testament to the transition from ignorance to knowledge. This was followed by the School Anthem and a touching “Gratitude Song” performed by the school choir and faculty.
Inspirational Addresses: * The Principal and Vice Principal provided words of encouragement, emphasizing the school’s role as a guiding light.
- The Chief Guest, P.C. Mathew, in his keynote address, delivered an impactful speech that urged the graduates to carry their education as a tool for leadership and service. He emphasized on being a man of value. Marks and certificates do not define somebody’s worth. It is the mantra of the word ‘AIM’ in life. Which means that ‘A’ stands for the correct attitude and to be full of gratitude, ‘I’ stands for identifying the correct interest and ‘M’ stands for maximizing one’s potential. He emphasized on the worth of being a good human being who carries values to serve humanity. Then only life can be fully lived and worthful.
The Student Voice: The Head Girl (Rhyda M.), Head Boy (Vivan E.), and Discipline Head (Nihal S.) shared emotional reminiscences of their years at SMPS. Further reflections were offered by Alina Mariya and Ume Hani, followed by a multimedia presentation titled “The Student’s Journey in SMPS,” which captured the milestones of the graduating class.
The Rite of Passage: The most solemn moment of the day was the Candle Light Ceremony. The “Light of Wisdom” was passed from the Mother Lamp held by the Principal to the Vice Principal, then to the teachers, and finally to the students. This was followed by a collective Pledge of Responsibility.

The Echoes of memories was beautifully portrayed in a video which was followed by a ppt presentation showcasing the students aspirations and aims in life.

The event culminated in the formal felicitation of the Class X students, Following a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Iqbalunnisa – HOD Computer Sc., Coordinator-Partnerships & Affiliations, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

The Makara Sankranti special assembly was conducted on 13^th with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The program began with a soulful *Prayer*, followed by a *Bible reading* that highlighted gratitude and the beauty of nature. A melodious *song* added to the celebratory mood. Followed by a speech delivered by a student highlighting the significance of the festival. This was followed by a colourful *dance performance* that captured the cultural essence of the occasion. Our *Principal* addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, appreciating the efforts of all participants. The event concluded with a heartfelt *Vote of Thanks*. The celebration reflected the joy, tradition, and unity of the festival.
